Description
Engineered for homes between 1,800 and 2,400 square feet, this matched Goodman central air conditioning and gas furnace system delivers reliable whole-home conditioning while maintaining optimized static pressure and refrigerant alignment.
Matched Components for Consistent Performance
The package integrates the GLXS3BN3610 outdoor condenser, CAPTA3626B3 cased evaporator coil, and GR9S960603BN single-stage gas furnace into a unified upflow configuration. A factory-installed TXV on the indoor coil pairs directly with the condenser's single-stage scroll compressor, guaranteeing proper metering and airflow balance that reduces energy waste caused by mismatched HVAC assemblies.
13.4 SEER2 Cooling Meets 96% AFUE Heating
Delivering 3 tons (36,000 BTU) of cooling, the outdoor unit operates on EPA-compliant R-32 refrigerant, which carries a lower global warming potential than traditional R-410A. High- and low-pressure switches along with a factory filter drier protect the scroll compressor from run-away conditions. The condenser houses a copper tube and aluminum fin coil inside a louvered, powder-coated cabinet built to withstand moisture and UV exposure. For heating, the 60,000 BTU input furnace achieves 96 percent thermal efficiency through an aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger and a single-stage gas valve. Integrated diagnostic monitoring tracks ignition sequences and airflow status, while a multi-speed ECM blayer modulates air movement to maintain steadier room temperatures and reduce operational noise.
