Description
This factory-matched Goodman HVAC combination kit integrates a 3.5-ton air conditioner and a 120,000-BTU two-stage gas furnace into a single AHRI-certified assembly, streamlining procurement and field commissioning. The GLXS3BN4210 outdoor condenser, CAPTA4230C3 upflow evaporator coil, and GR9T961205DN furnace ship as a unified cooling and heating solution designed for straightforward retrofit or new construction integration.
Equipment Components & Configuration
- Condenser Unit: The GLXS3BN4210 delivers 3.5 tons (42,000 BTU) of cooling at 13.8 SEER2 efficiency. It utilizes R-32 refrigerant, operates with a single-stage scroll compressor, and includes high- and low-pressure switches plus a factory-installed filter drier to protect the system from line pressure failures.
- Evaporator Coil: The CAPTA4230C3 features a 21-inch upflow steel cabinet with a factory-installed thermostatic expansion valve, allowing direct pairing with the condenser without manual charge verification.
- Gas Furnace: The GR9T961205DN uses a two-stage gas valve and multi-speed ECM blower to modulate heat output and airflow. An aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger and self-diagnostic control board enable precise temperature staging and simplified fault tracking.
System Specifications & Coverage
All three units operate in a standard upflow layout and meet current EPA requirements utilizing R-32 refrigerant, which carries a lower global warming potential than older R-410A systems. The condenser cabinet employs a powder-coated louvered design for corrosion resistance against outdoor exposure. Fuel flexibility is supported through an optional LP conversion kit. The equipment is engineered and assembled in the United States. Online registration within 60 days of professional installation activates the 10-year parts limited warranty.
