Description
The Goodman 2.5 Ton 13.8 SEER2 Complete System integrates a 60,000 BTU gas furnace with an R-32 air conditioner and cased evaporator coil to deliver a fully matched heating and cooling solution. Assembled as an AHRI-rated bundle, this setup ensures component compatibility between the GLXS3BN3010 condenser, CAPTA3626B3 indoor coil, and GD9S960603BN furnace, eliminating mismatched performance issues common in mixed-brand installations.
Precision Cooling and Efficient Heating
Cooling capacity reaches 2.5 tons (30,000 BTU) with a 13.8 SEER2 rating, utilizing R-32 refrigerant that provides strong thermal transfer while adhering to EPA guidelines through a lower global warming potential than R-410A. The single-stage scroll compressor works in tandem with the factory-installed thermal expansion valve inside a 17.5-inch downflow cabinet to maintain steady humidity removal and temperature regulation. On the heating side, the furnace achieves 96% AFUE efficiency with its aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger and single-stage gas valve, delivering reliable warmth during colder months.
Durability, Controls, and Support
- Multi-Speed Blower: A multi-speed ECM blower adjusts motor speed based on demand, reducing noise levels and improving energy consumption compared to single-speed alternatives.
- Corrosion Defense: The outdoor unit features a louvered, powder-coated cabinet that protects the copper tube and aluminum fin condenser coil from environmental wear.
- System Protection: Self-diagnostic circuitry tracks operational status to aid maintenance, while integrated high- and low-pressure switches along with a factory filter drier guard the compressor against fault damage.
- Fuel Flexibility: Homes with liquid propane access can adapt the furnace using an optional LP conversion kit.
- Domestic Manufacturing: All Goodman equipment in this lineup is designed, engineered, and assembled in the USA.
- Warranty Coverage: Registering the online within 60 days of professional installation secures a 10-year limited parts warranty.
