Meet the coil built for the next generation of refrigerants. The Goodman CAPTA1818B3 is a 1.5-ton vertical evaporator coil engineered around R-32 refrigerant — a lower-GWP alternative that's becoming the new standard in modern HVAC systems. Whether you're installing a new system or upgrading an existing one, this coil is built to keep up.
What Sets It Apart
- Factory-Installed TXV – No guesswork on refrigerant flow. The pre-installed thermal expansion valve regulates delivery precisely, so your system runs at peak efficiency right out of the box.
- Space-Smart Footprint – At 21" deep and 17.5" wide, this coil slips into tight mechanical spaces without sacrificing airflow or performance.
- Built to Last – A galvanized leather grain-embossed cabinet and rust-resistant thermoplastic drain pan mean this coil holds up in real-world conditions — not just ideal ones.
- Foil-Faced Insulation – Keeps energy where it belongs (inside the system) while dampening operational noise for quieter day-to-day performance.
- Integrated R-32 Sensor – Adds a layer of safety and compatibility monitoring specific to R-32 systems, a feature not commonly found at this price point.
-
AHRI Certified & ETL Listed – Third-party verified to meet industry performance and safety benchmarks — not just manufacturer claims.
