  • Description

Meet the Goodman CAPFA3022A3, a 2.5 ton cased evaporator coil that's built to elevate comfort in homes that demand flexible installation and dependable performance. Designed to work with both heat pumps and standard AC condensers, this coil is ready for upflow or downflow configurations, letting you adapt to your existing ductwork and space constraints without costly redesigns.

With the CAPFA3022A3, you’re choosing an evaporator coil that pairs efficiency with practical, long-term reliability. Its refrigerant compatibility includes R-32, aligning with modern refrigerant standards while helping to keep operating costs sensible. Tin-foil insulation minimizes air leakage, which means more conditioned air reaches living spaces and shorter run times for your system—so you stay comfortable faster and more consistently, without chasing temperature swings.

    Why the CAPFA3022A3 stands out

    • Upflow or Downflow versatility: install it in the most convenient orientation for your space, reducing ductwork changes and streamlining retrofits.
    • R-32 refrigerant compatibility: supports newer refrigerants for a more environmentally friendly cooling/heating option without sacrificing performance.
    • Low air leakage insulation: foil-faced insulation keeps conditioned air in the living space and helps your system reach setpoints faster.
    • Durable, maintenance-friendly design: rust-resistant, thermoplastic drain pan minimizes moisture retention; galvanized steel cabinet with a leather-grain finish stands up to attic heat and equipment room wear.
    • Easy access for service: split seam front access allows internal maintenance without full disassembly, saving time during routine checks.

    Concrete benefits for real-world use

    • Improved comfort and efficiency: more conditioned air reaches rooms, reducing run times and helping your HVAC system maintain even temperatures throughout the day.
    • Flexible compatibility: ideal for homeowners upgrading to refrigerant-friendly coils or installing new Goodman systems, with seamless pairing to the right condenser for balanced performance.
    • Quiet, reliable operation: the coil’s careful design supports steady airflow and consistent cooling/heating cycles year after year.

    Warranty and proper installation

Goodman backs the CAPFA3022A3 with a 10-year parts limited warranty when installed per state and local codes, paired with a compatible condenser, and registered online with the manufacturer. To maximize efficiency, longevity, and warranty eligibility, consult a qualified HVAC professional for correct sizing, airflow, and system integration.
