The flagship of the GZV9SA series — maximum capacity, Goodman's best heating efficiency, in a familiar top-discharge package. The Goodman GZV9SA6010 is the most powerful unit in the GZV9SA lineup, delivering 5-ton variable-speed inverter heating and cooling at up to 18.0 SEER2 / 9.0 HSPF2 — the highest HSPF2 rating available for a 5-ton Goodman heat pump. For the largest homes and light commercial applications that need serious capacity with the intelligence of true variable-speed operation, this is Goodman's best 5-ton heat pump available. The conventional top-discharge design means installation works like any standard 5-ton condenser — but the inverter compressor inside delivers continuous, precise modulation that single-stage and two-stage heat pumps simply cannot achieve.
Why Homeowners and Contractors Choose the GZV9SA6010:
- Up to 18.0 SEER2 cooling efficiency — high-efficiency variable-speed cooling for the largest residential applications
- Up to 9.0 HSPF2 heating efficiency — Goodman's highest HSPF2 rating, the most efficient electric heating available in a 5-ton Goodman heat pump
- 5 Ton / ~60,000 BTU capacity — the most powerful unit in the GZV9SA lineup, ideal for large homes and light commercial spaces up to 2,500–3,000 sq ft
- Variable-speed inverter swing compressor — Variable / Infinite Stage — infinite modulation for precise year-round comfort and efficiency at demanding 5-ton loads
- Strong heating capacity — reliable heating output across all US climate zones for the largest applications
- Top discharge design — familiar conventional top-air-discharge configuration — no side-clearance requirements, installs like any standard 5-ton heat pump
- Custom Ivory White cabinet — premium appearance
- All Regions designation — approved for all US climate zones
- Compatible with Goodman GTST Connected Thermostat — full smart home integration
- ComfortBridge™ compatible — communicating system integration for maximum system performance
- Only two low-voltage wires in communicating mode — simplified installation for large-capacity systems
- Proprietary 7-segment LED display with fault code storage — efficient service on large-capacity systems
- High-density compressor sound blanket — noise reduction even at maximum 5-ton output
- Digitally commutated fan motor — efficient, quiet operation at high-capacity airflow demands
- Coil and ambient temperature sensors + suction pressure transducer
- ZAM® steel bottom frame and legs — maximum corrosion resistance
- Heavy-gauge galvanized-steel Ivory White cabinet — 500-hour salt-spray tested
- Hurricane-ready construction — meets 2023 Florida Building Code requirements when properly anchored
- R-32 refrigerant — one-third lower GWP than R-410A
- AHRI Certified and ETL Listed
- Made in the USA
⚠️ Backup heat source recommended for extreme cold temperatures.
⚠️ Communicating system — GTST thermostat and compatible indoor equipment required for full functionality.
