Description
Item: 3918138
This manufacturer-matched Goodman HVAC assembly delivers coordinated seasonal climate control by integrating a 5-ton outdoor condenser, a downflow cased evaporator coil, and a 120,000-BTU gas furnace into a single AHRI-certified package. Installers receive a complete split-system blueprint without balancing compatibility variables across separate components.
Outdoor Cooling Capacity
The GLXS3BN6010 condenser produces 60,000 BTU of cooling at 13.6 SEER2 using R-32 refrigerant, which meets current EPA requirements while carrying a lower global warming potential than legacy blends. A single-stage scroll compressor operates inside a louvered, powder-coated cabinet designed to resist field corrosion. Factory-fitted high- and low-pressure switches alongside a pre-installed filter drier shield the motor from pressure anomalies and moisture damage.
Indoor Air Handling & Heating
Mounted below is the CAPTA6030D3 downflow coil housed in a 24.5-inch steel cabinet with a factory-installed thermostatic expansion valve. The companion GD9S961205DN gas furnace delivers up to 120,000 BTUs of heating input at 96 percent AFUE efficiency. An aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger and single-stage gas valve regulate thermal output, while a multi-speed ECM blower and self-diagnostic control board manage consistent airflow and reduce operational noise. The entire system converts to propane with an optional LP kit.
