Description
Deliver balanced indoor temperatures with a factory‑matched Goodman HVAC bundle that combines 4‑ton cooling, 120,000 BTU heating input, and horizontal duct integration in a single shipped package.
Complete System Breakdown
The outdoor GLXS3BN4810 condenser runs a single‑stage scroll compressor on R‑32 refrigerant to achieve 13.5 SEER2 cooling efficiency. It connects directly to the CHPTA6030D3 cased evaporator coil, which measures 24.5 inches wide and arrives with a factory‑installed TXV for precise metering. Paired with the GR9S961205DN furnace, the assembly delivers 120,000 BTU of heating at 96% AFUE through a single‑stage gas valve and a multi‑speed ECM blower motor.
Build Quality and Protection Features
- Aluminized‑steel tubular heat exchanger resists thermal cycling, paired with a self‑diagnostic control board for rapid error identification.
- Copper tube and aluminum fin condenser coil mounts inside a louvered, powder‑coated cabinet built to repel moisture and environmental wear.
- Factory‑installed high‑ and low‑pressure switches alongside a filter drier shield the compressor from line pressure shocks and moisture contamination.
Installation Flexibility and Coverage
The 24.5‑inch horizontal coil cabinet aligns with standard supply plenums, making it suitable for attics, crawlspaces, or mechanical rooms. Because the system ships as a matched train, technicians skip field refrigerant sizing and benefit from EPA‑compliant R‑32 thermodynamics. The frame is designed, engineered, and assembled in the USA, and an optional LP conversion kit enables natural gas to propane switching without replacing core hardware.
