Description
This horizontally configured Goodman split system pairs a 4-ton, 13.5 SEER2 R-32 air conditioner with a 120,000 BTU, 80% AFUE gas furnace to deliver calibrated climate control for residential footprints between 2,400 and 3,200 square feet. The GLXS3BN4810 outdoor condenser and CHPTA6030D3 indoor air handler ship as a matched set to maintain proper static pressure and airflow distribution, while the factory-installed thermal expansion valve meters refrigerant precisely across variable ambient loads.
Heating performance comes from the GR9S801205DN single-stage gas furnace, built around an aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger engineered for repeated thermal expansion cycles. A multi-speed ECM blower motor modulates CFM delivery to reduce mechanical strain and lower acoustic output. The sealed combustion assembly supports liquid propane conversion via a dealer-supplied LP adapter kit. Built-in high- and low-pressure switches, paired with a pre-charged factory filter drier, safeguard the scroll compressor against line voltage spikes and refrigerant starvation.
- Cooling Capacity: 4 tons (48,000 BTU) at 13.5 SEER2 energy efficiency ratio

- Indoor Construction: 24.5-inch horizontal cabinet with copper tube and aluminum plate-fin coil
- Electrical/Diagnostics: Self-monitoring control board flags sensor faults and safety lockouts
- Outdoor Durability: Powder-coated louvered chassis resists UV degradation and salt spray corrosion
- Floor Plan Fit: Horizontal supply/return orientation optimized for garage-mount or crawlspace chases
All primary assemblies are designed, engineered, and fabricated in the United States. A ten-year parts limited warranty covers registered units when the licensed contractor completes online registration within sixty days of initial power-up. Specifying this exact component combination aligns with standardManual J load calculations, preventing oversized duct runs, premature compressor short-cycling, and redundant electrical panel upgrades.
