  • Description

This factory-matched Goodman package pairs a 3-ton, 13.8 SEER2 outdoor condenser with a 100,000 BTU, 96% AFUE gas furnace and a cased coil, delivering AHRI-certified indoor climate control in a single horizontal configuration.

The GLXS3BN3610 condenser utilizes EPA-compliant R-32 refrigerant and a single-stage scroll compressor. Copper-tube aluminum-fin coils handle sustained cooling cycles, while a louvered, powder-coated steel enclosure resists corrosion. Integrated high- and low-pressure switches, alongside a factory-installed filter drier, actively shield the compressor during pressure spikes and fluid contamination.

The indoor section mounts the CHPTA4230C3 cased evaporator coil inside a 21-inch housing, featuring a permanent flow metering device for optimized refrigerant delivery. It interfaces directly with the GR9S961005CN furnace, which generates heat through an aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger. A multi-speed ECM blower motor modulates air volume for quieter operation and steadier room temps, guided by a self-diagnostic control board that records fault codes for service diagnostics.

Designed and assembled in the United States, the system accepts an optional LP conversion kit for propane fuel switching. Completing the manufacturer registration within 60 days of installation activates a 10-year limited parts warranty. Professional Manual J load calculations and duct verification remain required before deployment to confirm airflow compatibility and system sizing.
