Replace aging residential HVAC equipment with a factory-matched 2‑ton cooling and 96 percent AFUE heating package engineered for straightforward horizontal installation and sustained utility savings.
The outdoor condenser (GLXS4BA2410) delivers 24,000 BTU of cooling capacity at 15.2 SEER2 efficiency using EPA-compliant R‑32 refrigerant. A single‑stage scroll compressor pairs with copper tubing and aluminum fins to regulate indoor temperatures reliably, while the powder‑coated louvered cabinet protects internal components from coastal humidity and UV exposure.
Indoors, the CHPTA3026B3 cased evaporator coil connects directly to the GR9S960803BN gas furnace to form a fully synchronized comfort system. The furnace burns natural gas to produce 80,000 BTU of heat through an aluminized‑steel tubular heat exchanger rated at 96 percent annual fuel utilization. A single‑stage gas valve regulates combustion, and a multi‑speed ECM blayer modulates air velocity to stabilize room temperatures and reduce mechanical noise.
Contractor deployment requires minimal field modification. The cased coil ships with a factory‑installed thermal expansion valve and filter drier, while the furnace control board runs continuous diagnostics and isolates faults. Built‑in high‑ and low‑pressure switches shield the compressor from极端 pressure drops and surges. Goodman designs and assembles these units domestically, and the assembly accepts a liquid propane conversion kit for alternative fuel compatibility. Register the system within 60 days of professional installation to secure a 10‑year parts limited warranty.
