  • Description

Delivered as a fully matched cooling and heating package, this Goodman upflow system provides 30,000 BTU of active cooling and 80,000 BTU of heating engineered specifically for residential spaces between 1,500 and 2,000 square feet. The complete bundle eliminates airflow mismatching by pairing a single-stage scroll condenser with a factory-synced indoor coil and gas furnace, ensuring consistent comfort without oversized compressors or restricted return air.

    Cooling Performance and Refrigerant Management

The GLXS4BA3010 outdoor condenser achieves a 15.2 SEER2 efficiency rating while utilizing R-32 refrigerant, which complies with current EPA emission guidelines due to a significantly lower global warming potential. High- and low-pressure safety switches work alongside a pre-charged factory filter drier to protect the compressor from thermal spikes and contamination. Connected directly to the CAPTA3626B3 cased evaporator coil, the indoor section installs inside a 17.5-inch tall upflow cabinet and comes with a thermostatic expansion valve already mounted for instant charge accuracy and stable dehumidification across humid and moderate climates.

    Heating Output and Air Movement

The GR9S920803BN gas furnace converts fuel at a 92% Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) using a single-stage gas valve that delivers reliable warmth without rapid cycling. A multi-speed ECM blower motor draws heated air through residential ductwork with higher torque and lower acoustic noise than legacy permanent-split-capacitor systems. Heat transfer occurs through an aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger backed by a self-diagnostic control board that continuously monitors ignition sequences, flame failure, and airflow faults for quicker service diagnostics.

    Construction and Setup Compatibility

    • Louvered aluminum exterior shell with a baked-on powder coat resists corrosion, salt spray, and UV exposure.
    • Copper tube construction paired with staggered aluminum fins maximizes thermal exchange density inside both the condenser and evaporator.
    • Upflow chassis orientation fits standard mechanical rooms, utility closets, and attic racks when vertical clearance restrictions apply.
    • Propane convertible design allows seamless transition to LP tanks in regions lacking piped natural gas.
    • All assembled units feature domestic engineering and manufacturing lines for standardized replacement part availability.

System placement requires minimum setback distances listed on the condenser warning label and proper static pressure testing before final wiring. Register the installed components online within sixty days of commissioning to activate the 10-year limited parts warranty against manufacturer defects. Consult local building codes and load calculation standards to verify that the 2.5-ton capacity aligns with your home's actual insulation profile and window orientation.
