Description
Balanced cooling and consistent warmth for 1,500 to 2,000 square-foot homes, this matched Goodman central air conditioning and gas furnace system combines a 2.5‑Ton outdoor condenser with an 80,000 BTU indoor furnace for reliable year-round climate control.
PRECISELY MATCHED COOLING COMPONENTS
Sized for moderate residential footprints, the GLXS3BN3010 condenser delivers 30,000 BTU of cooling at 14 SEER2 using low-global-warming-potential R‑32 refrigerant. The corresponding CAPTA3626B3 17.5-inch upflow evaporator coil installs directly into the indoor section with a factory-sealed thermal expansion valve, ensuring optimized static pressure and proper refrigerant metering without field adjustments.
HIGH-EFFICIENCY GAS HEATING CONFIGURATION
The GR9S960803BN furnace provides steady interior warmth through an 80,000 BTU input and 96% AFUE rating. A single-stage gas valve operates quietly, while the integrated multi-speed ECM blower modulates airflow to minimize temperature overshoot and reduce runtime noise. An aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger withstands repeated thermal cycling, and the self-diagnostic control board logs fault codes for faster technician troubleshooting.
BUILT-IN DURABILITY AND SERVICEABILITY
- Copper-tube aluminum-fin condenser coil mounted inside a powder-coated louvered cabinet for rust resistance
- Factory-installed filter drier and integrated high/low pressure switches protect the single-stage scroll compressor
