Description
Deliver reliable year-round climate control for homes between 1,500 and 2,000 square feet with the Goodman 2.5 Ton 14 SEER2 Air Conditioner and 80,000 BTU Single-Stage Gas Furnace bundle. This matched indoor-outdoor system eliminates equipment mismatch risk by pairing the GLXS3BN3010 outdoor condenser, CHPTA3630B3 horizontal evaporator coil, and GR9S800803BN gas furnace into a single coordinated package designed for standard forced-air ductwork.
Cooling Performance and Refrigerant Compliance
The 2.5-ton outdoor unit delivers 30,000 BTU of cooling through a single-stage scroll compressor and copper tube aluminum fin coils protected by a powder-coated louvered cabinet. The system runs on R-32 refrigerant, meeting current EPA phase-down requirements with a lower global warming potential than older R-410A configurations. High- and low-pressure safety switches plus a factory-sealed filter drier shield the compressor from liquid slugging and restriction damage.
Steady Heating and Quiet Airflow
The accompanying 80,000 BTU gas furnace operates at 80 percent AFUE, utilizing a single-stage gas valve and an aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger. Temperature consistency across multiple rooms is handled by a multi-speed ECM blower that modulate fan speeds to reduce cycle noise and prevent hot or cold spots. A built-in self-diagnostic control board flags ignition or limit errors without external diagnostic testers.
- Layout Compatibility: Horizontal design accommodates tight attic, crawlspace, or closet installations
- Alternative Fuel: Standard R-32 configuration converts to propane with an optional LP kit
- Indoor Air Section: 17.5-inch deep cased coil houses a factory TXV for precise refrigerant metering
- Domestic Construction: Components engineered and assembled in the United States
Complete system coverage includes a 10-year parts limited warranty provided the registration submits online within 60 days of professional installation. Square footage estimates vary with regional humidity, attic insulation R-values, and solar load, so a certified HVAC specialist should complete Manual J load calculations before final procurement.
