  • Description

Engineered for tight mechanical closets or exposed ceilings, the Goodman ACST18MU1305 delivers precise climate control without sacrificing valuable square footage. This 1.5‑ton ceiling‑mount air handler features a factory‑installed thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) that optimizes refrigerant metering for steady cooling performance. It comes pre‑configured for R‑32 refrigerant, aligning directly with contemporary split‑system compressors and eliminating the need for aftermarket metering device retrofits.

The integrated 5 kW electric heat kit supplies dependable supplemental warmth during shoulder seasons or compressor defrost cycles. Because the control board, contactors, and wiring harness arrive fully assembled from the factory, technicians complete field hookups faster while reducing on‑site troubleshooting. The low‑profile chassis clears standard attic joists and avoids high‑traffic areas, yet preserves straightforward access to service panels and drain connections.
