Description
This matched Goodman central HVAC package delivers a complete 1.5-ton cooling and 60,000 BTU heating solution in a single AHRI-certified order, eliminating third-party compatibility guesswork for residential installations.
The system integrates three factory-aligned components designed for coordinated airflow and temperature regulation. The outdoor GLXS4BA1810 condenser operates at 15.2 SEER2 using R-32 refrigerant, a modern charge satisfying current EPA phase-down guidelines while carrying a lower global warming potential than legacy R-410A formulas. A single-stage scroll compressor drives the circuit, paired with a copper-tube and aluminum-fin heat exchanger housed inside a louvered, powder-coated metal enclosure. Indoor cooling runs through the CHPTA2426B3 cased evaporator coil, built for standard 17.5-inch horizontal cabinet layouts and shipped with a factory-installed thermal expansion valve for precise refrigerant metering.
Primary heating comes from the GR9S960603BN horizontal gas furnace, delivering 96% AFUE efficiency through a straightforward single-stage gas valve. A multi-speed ECM blower maintains steady indoor-air circulation while reducing mechanical noise compared to conventional motor designs. The internal aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger pairs with a self-diagnostic control board, built-in high- and low-pressure cutouts, and a pre-installed filter drier to monitor system strain. Units are engineered and assembled in the United States, and the furnace accepts an optional LP kit for propane conversion.
