Description
Item: 8920442
Designed for residential structures requiring roughly 900–1,200 square feet of conditioned space, this matched Goodman HVAC bundle combines precise mid-size cooling with steady winter heating, eliminating the efficiency losses that occur when mixing unrelated equipment. The system outputs 18,000 BTU of dehumidified cooling through a direct-fit outdoor condenser and a purpose-matched downflow evaporator coil, maintaining stable static pressure across standard residential duct runs.
Component Configuration
- Condenser (GLXS3BN1810): R-32 refrigerant loop paired with a single-stage scroll compressor and a copper-tube, aluminum-fin coil, finished behind a louvered powder-coated housing for coastal or humid-climate corrosion resistance.
- Cased Evaporator Coil (CAPTA2422B3): Mounted in a 17.5-inch vertical cabinet with a factory-installed thermostatic expansion valve, engineered to align airflow delivery with the outdoor unit’s performance curve.
- Gas Furnace (GD9T960803BN): eighty thousand BTU input regulated by a two-stage gas valve and distributed via a multi-speed ECM blower motor, achieving 96% AFUE combustion efficiency with an aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger.
System Protection and Long-Term Operation
Continuous high- and low-pressure monitoring works alongside a factory-installed filter drier to prevent moisture ingress and compressor liquid slugging. The embedded diagnostic controller records fault parameters, reducing technician troubleshooting time during service calls. Because these three assemblies originate from a single engineering roadmap, seasonal SEER2 degradation and mismatched air-handler ratios are effectively eliminated. All primary housings and mechanical subassemblies are manufactured in the United States.
The outdoor unit accepts an optional LP conversion kit to accommodate natural gas-free regions. Purchasing the complete package allows homeowners to register online within sixty days of certified installation, upgrading the standard protection period to a ten-year limited parts warranty.
